SCI is a gentle to mild anionic surfactant with rich, creamy foam, excellent lather, and thick, fluffy bubbles, all of which contribute to the elegant, conditioned skin and hair feel. It’s used as the primary surfactant for luxury sulfate-free shampoo bars, solid body cleansers, and solid facial cleansers, as well as powdered, whipped, or cream products. It produces excellent lather, an elegant skin feel and a conditioned hair feel. It works well in hard water and is easy to incorporate into solid or cream products without heating. It is green and bio-degradable and is of 100% natural origin.
It is compatible with all anionic, amphoteric and non-ionic surfactants and emollients such as natural oils, esters, fatty alcohols, fatty acids, or silicones can be added to solid or whipped products without emulsifiers at up to 10% to create moisturizing cleansers and shampoos. With an acidic pH of around 6, products made with SCI do not need to have the pH adjusted in the final product.
